Description

There has been little use of this dye in histology. Lendrum, Slidders and Fraser suggest it as a yellow fibre stain in their trichrome technique.

Due to the way this dye is made, it does not have a single structural formula, but numerous closely related compounds are collectively referred to as CI 4000, direct yellow 11. The formula above should be considered a general type rather than a specification.
