Schiff Reagent
Solution
| Ingredient | Amount |
| Acriflavine | 1 g |
| Distilled water | 200 mL |
| Potassium metabisulphite | 2 g |
| Hydrochloric acid, 1N | 20 mL |
Preparation
Dissolve the dye in the water and mix well.
Add the hydrochloric acid and mix well.
Add the metabisulphite and mix well.
Stopper tightly and leave 48 hours in the dark.
Filter.
